Black denim taken to the next level with a slate grey weft. This selvedge form Japan is proof that non-indigo selvedge can be just as sweet.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Japan. We've been pleasantly surprised to find black denim with amazing variety. Heavy, light, red and blue wefts. This version carves out a nice space for itself. It starts with a jet black warp. The weft is really where this denim stands out. Slate grey yarn shows through beneath the dark warp to give this fabric a slightly metallic look. The wear-in is also gorgeous, as it eventually gets down to a wonderful grey base. At 13 ounces with a nice amount of starch, this style feels substantial. A red ID finishes it off. This is great black selvedge with a rare twist.
This is the same style and quality that was sold in boutiques all over the country for $205+.
