When the first pair Postal Herringbones showed up at our office, it was evident that this special fabric sewed up into an amazing pair of jeans. Woven in Italy, this ultra-rare, beige weft, herringbone selvedge will carve out a special place in your denim collection.
This style uses sanforized raw selvedge denim from one of the finest mills in Italy. All the characteristics that made this fabric great in a workshirt do quite nicely in a pair of jeans. First is the weave. This is a rare selvedge herringbone. The pattern is wider than we've used previously giving it a rougher look that we think is perfect for this garment. The warp and weft shades really bring it to life. The warp is a postal blue, a number of shades lighter than a traditional dark indigo. The weft has a strong beige tint, which gives the fabric a vintage, dusty appearance as if you've owned it for years. At 12oz it's extra wearable on day one and is finished with a very cool red on tan selvedge ID. This is very rare denim that was just made for a work wear.
This is the same style and quality that was sold in boutiques all over the country for $205+.
