It's been over 2 years since we last found this special black twill from Japan, but it was well worth the weight.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvedge twill from one of the finest mills in Japan. Black jeans can come in many different forms, but one style that has jumped to the top of our wish list is the black-grey composition and this style shows you why. It starts with a jet black warp. Add in the grey weft and what would normally be a solidly saturated surface takes on an entirely new look. There is an almost faded appearance to the surface as the grey weft peeks through with a bit of brightness. It's really unusual and special. You can also see nice horizontal grain throughout the fabric which adds complexity that you sometimes lose in very dark fabric. Good levels of starch give the fabric a slight crunchiness when raw and a very cool solid red ID with crisp white ticker finished it off.
This is the same style and quality that was sold in boutiques all over the country for $205+.
